Childbirth Classes
Six Week Childbirth Preparation Course
These classes will help prepare you for a birth without the use of medication and are for those planning a hospital or home birth.
Some class topics are:

* Newborn care
* Breastfeeding instruction

The six-week childbirth education course is $150.00. A $25.00 non-refundable deposit is due upon enrollment.
Classes will be held at Gallagher Wellness Centre on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30. Class size will be limited to five couples.
We recommend attending the class when you are in your fourth or fifth month of pregnancy.
At this time the six-week course is not being offered.
One Day Childbirth Preparation Course
For those who need a refresher course or if schedules permit a commitment to the four-week course, we also offer a one-day class on the third Saturday of each month. This course will cover only some of the information listed above but will be enough to prepare you for a natural birth. It will not cover newborn care and briefly covers breastfeeding instruction.
The one-day class is $50.00. There is a $20.00 non-refundable deposit due upon registration. This class meets on the third Saturday of each month from 9:30am - 4:30pm.
At this time the one-day course is not being offered.
